One crypto influencer learned that revenge is a dish best served from anywhere but behind cold, cold prison bars, landing under arrest after attempting to confront his former business partner, Carlos Diaz, during a YouTube livestream.

“This is where Carlos lives, guys!” BitBoy — the online alias of Crypto maven Ben Armstrong — said, kicking off his nearly 40-minute stream. “I am live streaming from Carlos’ house. Carlos has my Lamborghini right here in his garage!”

After several minutes of “telling the entire story” of his former colleague, who he claimed “wanted to kill him” and was tied to the mafia in Houston — “I’m not scared of you, Carlos!” he said — Armstrong found himself confronted by several cops.

The crypto creator, who admitted to having a weapon and his mistress, Cassie, in his nearby car, was slapped with charges for loitering/prowling and simple assault by placing another in fear, per Gwinnett County Police.

He appeared to take his arrest and subsequent release from jail in stride, joking about the ordeal on Twitter shortly after posting his $2,600 bond.

“I need to make a confession. I never imagined I would admit I’m not even really sure if I have the courage to say it but I’m going to do my best,” he wrote in a message posted early Tuesday morning. “My name is Ben and I’m a loiterer. I did 8 whole hours in the slammer.”

The incident comes roughly one month after Armstrong was ousted from his eponymous company, BitBoy Crypto. The company said they took the influencer’s car to “recoup funds” they allege their founder took, The Street reported.

So take it from Armstrong, Diaz, and heck, any FiDi bro even remotely associated with this mess: Cryptocurrency is one nasty drug.
